Major Matters

In today’s world having a Bachelor’s degree is almost the equivalent to a high school diploma. With the tough times of the economic breakdown in America today having an average education just wont cut it. So when high school kids enter college they need to pick a major that will help them prosper in the future. Picking a major can be a tedious task, but with a knowledge of what one wants to do the task becomes much easier.
People pick majors for all kinds and different reasons, it can be that the major was the easiest one to choose since all of one’s life they where prepared by their parents to go into that field and to be great in that area. Or it can expand as that a teacher may have told them that they are a great and amazing writer and should follow that path as a career choice. There are many different stories and reasons to go into a certain career path. Many people who get a job out of college work for the pay check which is very understandable, because money is out there to be made. But on the other hand some individuals choose there majors and what they want to do in life by trying to honor the memories of loved one’s and promising that they will partake in a certain area of expertise to do right by them.
Finally, whatever area that you may want to embark on in life choose wisely. Because as the title says, your major does matter, it’s critical to pick something that you actually want to do. Just go out and impact the world in whatever you do, if it is business management do the best in that area, or if it’s nursing, take care of those in need, and especially education, teach those who need to learn a lesson in life. Just know that, to get to higher heights in life one must climb as if on a ladder, and that all in all your major matters.
